Important Notice

Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. When you confirm deletion, your account and associated data are permanently removed from our systems. Please export anything you wish to keep before proceeding.

How to Delete Your Account

Sign in to your TermsEx account.
Open Account Settings and locate the Delete Account section.
Press Delete My Account.
To confirm, you must type the exact phrase DELETE MY ACCOUNT and submit.
Deletion starts immediately; you'll be signed out when complete.

Can't access the app? Email hello@termsex.app from your account email with the subject "Account Deletion" and include the confirmation phrase DELETE MY ACCOUNT.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

Your account and authentication record are deleted.
All documents you uploaded and the AI summaries/outputs derived from them are permanently deleted.
All related files you uploaded are removed from storage.
Your profile, credit transaction history, and subscription records in our database are removed.
A minimal audit record of the deletion event (timestamps/status) is retained for security and compliance; it does not contain your documents.
You will no longer be able to sign in or recover any data tied to the deleted account.

Subscriptions

Deleting your TermsEx account does not automatically cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Please cancel active subscriptions directly in your app store settings.

Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives instead of permanent deletion:

Export Your Data: Download your document summaries before deletion if you want to keep them.
Take a Break: Simply stop using the app temporarily - your data will remain safe.
Delete Individual Documents: Remove specific documents instead of your entire account.
